I see that most kids witrh reflux are milk/protein/soy intolerant. Are there any kids with reflux on regular formula? (similac advance, similac r.s., enfamil lipil)? Also if anyone has experience with similac r.s. when do you try to wean them off of it and back onto regular formula? OR do you? I am just new to this reflux thing (silent reflux). I am calling a GI today because we are on zantac but only .5ml twice a day.

mspi does not necessarily go along with reflux, although, as you’ve pointed out, it CAN & often DOES.

my son did not have any protein issues and yet he had SEVERE GERD…

Lucas also does not have a MPI. He was breastfed for 7 months (until I no longer produced anything) and I avoided dairy….the reflux was still horrible.

sylviaa’s reflux was caussed by a hiatal hernia.
