Does anyone have any experience with Generic Axid, like if it works just as well as Axid and how the taste compares?

My son is 18 month’s old and has always done fine with Axid; after I picked up his prescription today, I realized that it was generic. When I talked with the pharmacist, they said a generic is now available so that is what would be filled and since I took it out of the pharmacy they could not change it to Axid for me. So I am stuck with one month of the generic, unless I just pay out of pocket for the Axid and waste one of the refills. I just smelled the generic and it doesn’t smell very good.

I really don’ t know but i would imagine it’s the same effectiveness…
