KeymasterWell, these contractions I’ve been having are doing something…
I’m 3cm & 60% effaced…
so, I could hang out here like this for another week (or more), or, I could have this baby at any time…
my 1st edd according to LMP was july 25th & then at the 11wk ultrasound it was changed to the 17th…
I keep asking my magic 8-ball (ie: Jonah
): “when is the baby coming?” His answer keeps changing, ROTFLMAO!! this a.m. he said “tuesday” and then I asked him again, how about saturday & he said,”um, yes.” but I think I was leading the witness…ok, at least I crack MYSELF up
~laura
ps: I truly hope it’s not on Monday, for that is Jonah’s birthday…it’d be a cool anomoly, but soooo unfair to him

well, only god and this baby know!!

InactiveWhen I was waiting for Myles to come I hoped and hoped it wouldn’t be on the 18th, Eliana’s birthday. (They both had the same due date, 9/24). He held on until the 20th, so they are 2 yrs and 2 days apart.
Like you said, only God and the baby knows.

I even feel it’s a little unfair for my two having their birthdays so close. What do you do, have two separte parties every year?
Two cakes
Good luck!!

InactiveAlexandra’s due date was July 1st. The OB wanted to schedule the C-section for a week ahead of that which would have been Kaelyn’s birthday. I kept delaying my decision because I couldn’t decide if they’d be more upset that I scheduled them to have the same birthday or if they’d be disappointed later on that I didn’t give them the same birthday. I even asked several students at my school what they thought. (All of them thought it would be cool if they had the same birthday. Then I’d ask if they would want to share a birthday with their brother or sister and they all answered NO very loudly. It was actually very amusing.
) My family jokes that Alex arrived 4 weeks early to save me from having to make that decision.

InactiveGood luck, Laura! Hopefully it’s sooner rather than later. I was 2 cm and 50 percent effaced for 3 days, contracting regularly but not strongly. I kept driving down to the hospital and they kept sending me home. Three days later I went in, and was finally almost 3cm, they finally said that was too dilated to be sent home! So hopefully they won’t make you hang around like this too long.
Here’s my guess: born tomorrow, weighing 7lbs 8 oz.

InactiveGood luck Laura! I’ll play too and say born Saturday and weighing 7’11
BTW – Marisa and my DH almost shared a birthday – at first DH didn’t
want that since he wanted her own birthday but then he decided it would
be great. But alas, I was too narrow and had to push for over 3 hours –
so she just missed it and was born at 12:52 am on Aug 11 instead!July 14, 2006 at 3:56 pm #11519hellbennt

InactiveKaren, Kaelyn and I almost shared a birthday, and I felt the same way as your dh. I went in to labor on my birthday, but Kaelyn took 25 hours to arrive, so she was born the next day. I’m glad that she has her own day, but it will make a good story when she’s older.

Laura, I say Sunday and 8 lbs even.
