Help with dosing

Hi it’s me again!

I was looking for some advice about when to give his Prevacid. I know it needs to be 30m -60m before meals and about 2-3 hours after. That is my trouble. He needs to get it twice a day, I am ok with the first dose – its the other I don’t know when its best to give it. His schedule is:

7am up, Prevacid
730a bottle
8am solids
945am Nap

11am bottle
12p solids
215pm half bottle
230p Nap
4pm other half bottle
430 solids

630pm bottle, bath
7pm bed wakes at 7am.

So when is the best, most effect time to put this second dose?? I have no clue, I’m sorry. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

According to what Joel has posted in the past, it should be exactly 30 minutes before eating. It needs time to get into the system before he eats, but then the pumps need to try to turn on so the prevacid can shut them down.

It’s not ideal, but I think I’d do the second dose at 6.

if giving it around eating/not eating is a real issue you can look into getting it compounded (CORRECTLY! you’ll have to TELL the pharmacist how to do it!) or getting zegerid so you don’t have to worry about giving it in relation to a meal/empty stomach…otherwise, you just do what you gotta do meaning give it when you can w/o making you or baby crazy…

I’d do the 2nd dose at 6 pm also.
