I know I have been terrible about getting on here. I am back in school (well the courses are online, but still I have to study) taking classes to get my RN degree, I have started teaching aerobics three times a week at my church, and I just agreed to be the president of the board at Brianna’s preschool…so I have been busy!!! I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on us.
McKenzie is ONE!!! Can you believe it! It is so crazy to me. She is not walking yet, but she just this week has learned how to stand on her own, and so I think anyday now she will be running across the room. I still nurse her once a day, but she is on soy milk besides that. SHe eats yogurt just fine (doesn’t care for cheese too much, go figure, but can eat it without it causing any problems) so I am sure milk would be OK, but things are just so good now, I don’t see any reason to rock the boat, and besides, she LOVES this soymilk..I mean she sucks it down like there is no tomorrow. She even knows hte difference between her milk carton and Brianna’sWe still are on some reflux meds..12mgs in the AM and then I give her 1/2 a pepcid at night. I need to try and wean her off all of it together, but like I said, things are good now.We are taking her to see an ENT becuase of some stridor she is having, and I know that could be from reflux, but honestly, my gut says it isn’t a big deal. SHe doesn’t get stridor when she cries or when she eats per se, it is more like she has figured out this funny noise her body makes and she likes to do it…she is never in distress when it is happening. But I will keep ya’ll updated.Brianna is a wonderful, fun three year old. It really has made me sadder than I thought it would to see her grow up so much. At the height of reflux with both my girls, I couldn’t wait for them to grow up…now I am sad they are.My DH wants one more. We will see…I have always only wanted two, and the first year with both of them was hard, but amazing at the same time. I can’t explain it. But for now I am happy. I miss everyone tons. I will try to pop on more when I can.Now I have to get going to study!!!Hugs to all!EmFebruary 18, 2009 at 9:05 pm #61138AnonymousInactiveHey Emily thanks for the update… They are so adorable! So glad to hear a positive update! YAY for making a year with BFing! Give yourself a huge pat on the back!!I had no idea you wanted to be a nurse too, we should be a support system to each other while going through school. 🙂 I’m hoping to start some classes in the fall since I missed starting in the spring. One or both of my boys should be in school!Your girls are so adorable. Give Brianna a hug for me. She’s getting so big! -
