InactiveI have a 1 mo old son & a 15 mo old daughter. My DD never had any issues, but we have had been struggling with DS’s reflux since birth. I’ve had a hard time getting any pediatricians to take my claims seriously. We put him on AR formula a few weeks ago & it helped the spitting up tremendously. We just started Prevacid last night. Still waiting for it to kick in.
My question for you all is, did you see a difference in sleep patterns once the meds kicked in & your baby got some relief?
So glad I found this forum. This is all so new & frustrating to me.

Keymastereverything , especially sleep, improves w/ the proper:
dose, form & administration of meds!
I have a LOT MORE to say and most of it’s here, in a link called ‘groupie intro.’
it’s looong but TRULY will help you- read through it, refer back to it, scroll through it/skim through it. You’ll find yourself coming back to it!
https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=853 Here is a Updated Link to Marci-Kids (you’ll know what that is by reading Groupie Intro) & here’s a link to “> Probiotics, Brands Used (not sure if this link is in Groupie Intro yet, but it’s important…). To understand the role of probiotics and colic and reflux and, to read about the correlation b/t colic and reflux -here’s the Link to Wondertime article, Colic Solved

InactiveIt is amazing that when a baby feels well, how much better and longer they will sleep. So whenever you can get your son to feel better then… yes, I believe you will see a difference in his sleeping habits! 🙂

InactiveThanks for the replies. I am now wondering if formula could still be a contributing factor? Honor had milk/soy intolerance but her only symptom was eczema, which cleared entirely after 24 hrs on Alimentum. I put Samuel on Nutramigen for 2 wks but saw no difference. He stopped spitting up within days of having him on Efamil AR, but the Sandifer symptoms are still there. The Prevacid hasn’t kicked in yet. I guess I’ll wait a few weeks & if needed, try Nutramigen again.
Laura, I ordered some of those probiotics- thanks for the recommendation!

InactiveThat is a very good idea to try probiotics! We found that probiotics together with digestive enzymes helped our children tremendously! If you want to read more about it, you can read my blog. http://help4acidreflux.wordpress.com/
