InactiveWe just started Previcid solutabs- 15 mg last night and 7.5 this morning. He seemed fine all morning. I gave him a dose of Zantac this afternnon since he doesn’t get the Prev again until tonight.
He has had 2 very loose/watery poops (no other bm’s other than those 2) and he became very fussy/sreaming this afternoon. He is exhasted and can’t seem to settle, like he has very bad gas.Could it be the solutabs?I am on day 5 of TED.December 4, 2009 at 6:10 pm #64918hellbennt
Keymasterhard to tell. could be proteins, etc, working their way out of his system?
keep doing what you can, give some mylanta cherry supreme when he gets all fussy (as long as it’s spaced from the prevacid- you CAN give mylanta with or near the zantac) & see what happens?December 4, 2009 at 7:15 pm #64922Anonymous
Inactiveoh these darn proteins!!!!

InactiveFor Evan is was the solutabs (he eventually tolerated them around 8-9 mths old)… BUT that being said I wouldn’t switch his form of Prevacid (ie: take him off the solutabs) until you’ve been on TED for 2-3 wks minimum.
I know it’s frustrating but something to keep in the back of your mind (to revisit in another 2 wks if still poor stools) is that he could be intolerant to something in TED & now that you’re probably eating SO MUCH of whatever it might be (for Evan it was pears, turkey & rice-ugh) his stools could continue to be bad – & it may not be the solutabs. Again, don’t do anything for now but we’ll talk again in 2-3 wks if no change ;).
Hang in there!

InactiveWell, Laura posted the link to ‘our story’ (thanks Laura!!!) so you can read about it there… but eventually our baseline (for about 6-7 mths) was: potatoes, squash, apples & beef (I feel like I”m forgetting something but I think that’s it)… I got VERY creative ;).
Like I said above, I wouldn’t do/change anything for now… I just wanted to mention it so you can keep it in the back of your mind to revisit in 2-3 wks if Grey’s stools are still not baselined.
Hang in there!
