How much flavoring do I add to Neocate?

I am slowly changing my dd to Neocate. Her bottles are half Neocate and half Alimentum. She is acting like she doesn’t like the taste. I bought some organic alcohol free flavoring. DD is drinking 4 oz per bottle. How much flavoring is safe to add?

hhhmmm, not sure I never used that for flavoring before…LOL

How old is she and have you asked the GI or pedi about this???

Those would be my first 2 questions before answering.

Autumn, did you ever figure this out? My baby won’t take Neocate unless it’s mixed with breastmilk, but we’re supposed to go totally Neocate for 1 week and he screams his head off at the taste of it. Looking for a solution. What worked for you?

anyway I don’t mean to hijack, but if you want to continue breastfeeding, switching to neocate for 1 week won’t necessarily do anything-sorry if I’ve missed your other posts! edited to add- ok read your other post and sent out an S.O.S to some more experienced TED mamas!

Autumn: there have been moms who used something to flavor neocate- I’ll have to do a search for you if you haven’t already figured it out

I used Agave nectar at one point and flavors from frontiercoop.com. Their flavors are natural (no artificial flavors), alcohol free and msg free. Agave nectar is as sweet as honey, but has a lot less sugar content. You can buy online at http://www.iherb.com or at your local health food store.
