It may take about 2 weeks or so to get your old baby back. We tried the wean just before 9 months, and as you may have read, it did fail. She was on the lower dose for about 2 weeks, and it’s now taken about 2 weeks for her to stop showing all the ugly signs of GERD. I was getting really nervous that we screwed this good thing up, she was coughing, choking, gurgling, refluxing majorly, it was so bad that we’ve been using Carafate for the last 3-4 weeks to control her pain and help her nap better. Now, though, over the last 2 days or so, she seems to have stopped most of those symptoms for the most part, and I think we’re going to try to go Carafate-free again.
