I just wanted to let you all know that my neighbour’s son is back at home. They were d/c home about a week ago with the diagnosis of viral encephalopathy. He is feeding well and they are hoping that this won’t have any lasting delays, though said that the doctors are taking a wait and see approach. He is now on daily preventative seizure meds, and prevacid, of all things. It seems that the ng tube caused his LES to get lazy, and so he know has reflux, though most certainly will outgrow it due to the cause. Thankfully since we now have the solutabs here, she doesn’t have to worry about opening losec capsules like we had to do with Hailey. They are really scared now about going out with him, especially until he gets his first round of vaccines. We are still praying for them, that they get a break, and that he has no lasting effects. Thanks for all of you who prayed for them.
