Increased prevacid, how long

I increased my ds Prevacid. If the new dose is going to help, how long does it take? I know every child is different, but how did it work for you? Did you increase slowly, or go all out and then cut back. Ds has never (ok maybe 5 times) slept overnight without waking crying suddenly multiple times. He has only ever been on 7.5 mg twice a day. Ds will be 2 years old next week and wt is 26 pounds.

My first son was taking 15mg of Prevacid from the time he was a couple months old and never took more than that. But my second son was taking 30mg by the time he was 6 months and even with that high of dose he still didn’t sleep though the night. I always told myself to give at least a week to start seeing any changes and 2 weeks for full results.

increasing should show if it’s working fairly quickly, since the med is already in his system- it takes two weeks when starting from not having any meds…

at this age, I would demand testing…so you can have some answers…I would get an endoscopy & a ph probe…also, the no sleep sounds like something in his diet…I’d look into that, too…HUGS!!!
