Does anyone know how/if you can tell a baby has a headache? My daughter is on Axid, and a side effect listed is headaches. Lately she has been holding her hand to head right above her left ear – not sure if this is a “sign” she might have a headache from the medication or possibly even an ear infection? She just had what I thought was a cold about 10 days ago and I understand ear infections tend to follow colds…sorry if this is a stupid question, but I’m a first time mom dealing with MSPI, reflux and a host of other issues that constantly leave me scratching my head! It’s hard to figure all these things out sometimes. Thanks!

I would give her some tylenol and take her to the doc in the morning to have her ears checked. If it isn’t an ear infection it is possible that she has a headache, but I would almost bet with the recent cold that it is an ear infection.
