Is the Prevacid working??

My son has been diagnosed with silent reflux and been on Prevacid solutabs 7.5mg 2x daily for over two weeks now. Plus some RX drops for gas pain. We have been dealing with reflux issues for about 7 weeks now. I am seeing some improvement in symptoms but not totally. Should he be symptom free if on the meds? He still spits up a little after most feedings, fussy while feeding about half the time, hiccups all the time, occasionaly will gag or choke, all the typical reflux symptoms are still there, but a little better. He seems better but is still quite uncomfortable some of the time. Should I give it more time or is it time to take him to a GI doc? His ped has not referred us to a GI doc yet. Thanks for any response to this.

meds help w/ the pain, not the spitting up.

have you checked your prevacid dose at http://www.marci-kids.com?

are you giving it on an empty stomach, followed by a ‘meal’ 30 minutes later?

is there still gas pain? if so, maybe it’s his ‘diet?’ (your diet, if breastfeeding, or formula)
