liquid zantac dosage w/ prevacid

hi everyone–
i think we’ve just begun to hit that ‘peak’ that they told us about. LO is 3 1/2 months and getting worse. He just started 15mg prevacid (solutabs) this week.
We have zantac in the house that was from a prescription in June. I read the marci site to find out how many mgs he should take, but my problem is that it is in liquid form. In June he was supposed to take .9 mls 2x day (but he weighed almost 4 pounds less than now).
Does anyone know the conversion of mgs of Zantac to mls of Zantac?
If I am reading it correctly, the Marci site also suggests that he should take 24 mgs of prevacid daily. Have people had success with the lower dosage of 15 mgs?
One more thing…in the meantime, I’m taking him to have NAET treatments (Namburipad Allergy Elimination Technique). It’s alternative and based on eastern medicine. I’ve had great success with my own health and this technique. Has anyone tried this for reflux? I’ll be sure to report back–

YOu can call the pharmacist adn ask teh m abou the convertion. They should be able to tell you.

As far as the other diet I’m not sure. I haven’t heard of it before.

I do know someoen who uses eastern med. stuff for her DD reflux and she does great. Butshe also uses a PPI with it.

how much does baby weigh? I can do the zantac calculations for you!

basically it’s 5-10mgs per kilo

so I would figure out at the highest does, 10mgs per kilo, since zantac doesn’t ‘do much’ anyway…

I figured out what he needs in mgs (he’s 5.4 kilos, so that’s 54mgs)…but I have a liquid form of zantac and am not sure how to convert what he needs to mls???

your bottle should say 15mgs/ml

so take the 54mgs and divide by 15

tha’ts 3.6mls a day total

hmm…the bottle says–5mg/5ml , not 15mg/ml

call the pharmacy just to be sure? I’ve never heard of that…

then ask them to tell you how many mls 54mgs is
