Thanks ladies! I knew that someone would be able to help. My GP thinks that he is an authority, and has actually given me some problems b/c he’s been pretty set in his ways… he told me I couldn’t have migraines during my pregnancy b/c I didn’t have nausea (even though I was completely incapacitated by them), told me I couldn’t have c-diff b/c I swabbed negative, and there have been others. I knew in both of these cases that he was wrong (and turns out that I’ve been right), but when I pushed the issues, he said that I have issues with “anxiety”, which made me laugh. I’ve been looking for a new GP but having some trouble finding someone here as there’s a shortage.
I definitely think that sleeping it off is a good idea, but can be hard when the kids are climbing all over you!
Anyhow, about the advil migraine, is that what it’s called? We don’t have it here, so I’ll ask my mom to bring me some when she comes next month. Is it ingredients other than advil and caffeine? If that doesn’t work then I’ll talk to the doc some more. So far, it’s only happened once.
Thais, your point about the differences between countries and their meds has really hit home. I was just going to go to the pharmacy and get some periactin for Hailey, which is OTC here. But now I’m afraid that there might be other ingredients or that the dose might be different, which worries me. Funny how things are so different from place to place.
