InactiveI am sure you may have heard about this, but I am quite disturbed by this whole thing. This has been the 2nd pregnant woman who has gone missing in the area which I live. About 5 years ago, a woman who was 9 months pregnant went missing in Ravenna, Ohio. A few days later, they found her body in the garage of the woman who killed her. That lady (sorry, this is so graphic and I apologoze for offending anyone) who had murdered the lady……..cut her stomach open and took the baby out to pretend like it was her own. She had it all planned out for months. She faked being pregnant even fooling her husband. The baby was given to his biological father, whom he lives with today. I do see him and his son at Walmart every so often and just watch to see the wonderful relationship they have, but at the same time think about his mother.
Now, there is another 9 month pregnant woman missing in North Canton, which is about 45 mins away from where I live, but it is too close to home and really hits hard. What is wrong with people these days? Although today, as hubby and I watched a special report from our local news about this lady…..they stated the father, of her son and her unborn daughter, along with his wife are labeled as aquaintances along with other people in her life. Now……I was ok with the whole thing until they said the father of her children and HIS WIFE………so she was the girlfriend……….I am a little suspicious about this man and/or his wife………do you ladies know what I mean?
I love my children dearly and would never change anything about them or about having them, but at the same time I wonder about the world I had brought them into……do you know what I mean?
I am sorry, I do not mean to bring you all down, but it was something that I just needed to get out and talk about. Thanks for listening!!!

InactiveSuch a cute pic of the kids!
Yeah, it certainly isn’t the world I remember when I was little, and that really wasn’t all that long ago!
I remember my mom leaving us out in the car while she ran errands in the store, etc all the time and we we LITTLE!! Unimaginable now!
I’m always freaked out about leaving Griffin out for just a minute if he goes outside before me, wouldn’t I just be a mess if something happened to him! There is a local company that runs ice cream trucks around our town (225,000) and every so often I would let Griffin get something from them. Our daycare would also have them come twice during the summer and let the kids each pick a treat. Well the local paper did a story just this week about how 6 or more of the drivers had been convicted of assult, burglery, I think one was even a sex offender! It made me sick!
I always thought they looked a little “different” if you will, but they were always friendly and I was always close by……… Crazy stuff!June 19, 2007 at 11:26 pm #37311Anonymous
InactiveI was always very cautious while I was pregnant. It was in the back of my mind that someone could do that to me. It is just plain sick!
I can’t imagine what would have to be wrong with someone to do something like that. This world really is gross.

InactiveWhat I can not understand is a man having a girlfriend on the side and being married………I know this happens, but when the wife knowingly and approves of her husband doing this? And on top of this he has fathered other children with other women? I would be worried he would come home with some kind of disease or something like that…..you can not be too careful. Do you ladies know what I mean? I do not mean to insult anyone, but this is something that I am unable to comprehend…..I guess I am just plain naive?

InactiveI work in a hospital, and this happens more than you would think! It’s pretty crazy, generally men will be the one’s doing it.
But I can think of at least 2 cases recently where one was a guy in his late 40’s to 50 and he was married and had this little college girlfriend that the wife knew about. We would always knock before going in the room, but this young girl would be sitting on his bed rubbing his legs or his back and once someone walked in on them kissing…….
Another case was a young kid who was married and had a girlfriend and both were pregnant…….. It was very apparent that all of them had mental issues from mom, to son and his “girls”. The sad part is he already had children! It makes me sad and so angry sometimes. It’s okay if you want to live like that, but don’t bring kids into it! But I also know that some of these people seriously don’t have the mental compassity to “know better” or to “do better”
It’s apparent that these people weren’t raised the way we were. The mom of the young boy said you can raise them to do right, but they don’t always do it…..

I guess I never worried when I was pregnant, but I feel like we live in a pretty safe neighborhood. I know that doesn’t stop it from happening– it could happen anywhere. I might just be too trusting!
Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me in the butt someday!!!I saw on Good Morning America this morning that they had found a baby on a hospital doorstep…. Didn’t hear where though, was it the Ohio baby????

InactiveHave you ladies seen Hollywoodland? In that movie there is a married couple and both husband and wife had a girlfriend and boyfriend. Not only that, but both husband and wife knew about it and would go out to eat together. Not sure how true that is to the true story, but it was very interesting. I think and I could be wrong here, but I think you would have to have low self esteem to share a mate. Well, that or the person has to have some money. Like the girls that share Hugh Hefner.

I have seen that show they have about those girls and it seems like one of them actually loves him and the others are probably in it for the money.June 20, 2007 at 12:42 pm #37357hellbennt

Inactiveok, I just read an update on this case on line and wish I hadn’t. Apparently, the mother of the missing woman went to the daughter’s house and found it in shambles and her two year old son was alone wandering in the house. He told the investigators that his mommy was crying, broke a table and in a rug..
OMG, I just keep thinking that is how old Seth is and what a horrible thing that child must have witnessed and then to be left alone. My heart is breaking for all of them.June 21, 2007 at 4:25 pm #37501Anonymous
InactiveRight now, everyone is awaiting for the news about the freshly dug ground to see if they found her
. This is so sad…….I do not know what I want the news to be…….I hope she is alive, but there has been too much time of her being missing. I will let you ladies as soon as they have the news conference this evening. Like I said, I do not know what to think anymore.June 21, 2007 at 5:12 pm #37509Anonymous
InactiveUgh, I know what you’re all are talking about. It is so sick out there nowadays. DH and I keep saying “I walked home from school alone when I was in 2nd grade.” You can’t do that anymore. It’s crazy that you have to watch your kids like a hawk thinking constantly negative thoughts. I pray for that family and hope the woman is alive and will reunite with her family soon. Unfortunately, this story will most likely have a sad ending (but I do pray for the opposite).

InactiveSick, scary world! Here’s something a friend sent me. I think it gives some very good advice on protecting yourself from these monsters.

InactiveWell, I see that they found the missing pregnant woman and the father of the child was arrested. How sick and sad!
Mourning for the little boy left without a mother and hoping the person responsible rots in jail!

InactiveYes, and another pregnant woman was found murdered. I think it was in NC or SC. She was married with two other children. How sad for these poor kids.

InactiveSo sad
What kind of a person would do such a thing? The poor boy is left without a mother. Why did they arrest the father, though? Is he just a suspect or did they find something leading to him?June 25, 2007 at 12:28 am #37821Anonymous

Is he just a suspect or did they find something leading to him?He has been arrested and will be charged with a double murder. He also had an accompliss (sp?). He also confessed he had killed her. I just can not understand why you would do that to anyone. I really think he was a suspect this entire time, but the cops just wanted him to think he may get away with this…….do you know what I mean? I was saddened when I saw the news, but not surprised with who did the killing. I think the police will slowly let out what happened as time goes on. I just feel for Blake and the rest of the surviving family memebers…..he has not only lost a mother and sister, but his father.
