I’m making the 20mg Zegerid, 20mg Prilosec, 19mL MCS mixture.
The Omeprazole I bought (Walmart brand) has the bicarb as a tablet
inside the capsule. Do I need to crush that, or will it eventually
dissolve in my mixture?
Dosing instructions say:
Age
|
Dose per day (mg/kg/ dose)
|
< 3 months
|
1.5 mg/kg three times per day
|
My child is 13lbs and 10 weeks old:
13lbs = 5.89kg
5.89kg x 1.5mg = 8.835mg
It says “Dose per day”.
Does this mean he needs 8.835mg for the entire day, split into 3 doses of 2.945mg?
Or 3 doses of 8.835mg?
I saw a mention of a minimum dose of 3.5mL, which would have 7mg.
