MSPI, Reflux and Apnea

Here is a brief background about my children.

Aaron was born premature (33 weeks) and was diagnose with
MSPI at ages 5 weeks old. He was on
Neocate till he was 1.5 years old and the GI wean him to regular milk. He did great in that he did not have tummy
ache; however, he constipated real bad and even with Miralax (he is taking it
everyday), he is still impact. We found
out though x-ray for other issue. He
also has reflux since birth and is still taking Prevacid at this time. The GI tried to wean him off Prevacid but the
pain comes back. He is still swallowing whatever
comes up but the med help with the pain.
He also snores real loud and has episodes of apnea while sleeping. He does not sleep well and have yet sleep
through the night. Another thing, Aaron’s
tummy is huge and his upper GI is schedule sometimes next month after his
hernia repair.

Aaron is my youngest and his older brothers had been through
this too. His brothers also had apnea
and had T&A done last year. Austin, my 3 year old also
had reflux since birth (preemie as well born at 30 weeks) but he outgrew when
he was 19 months old. Austin also had milk allergies and was on
Neocate than moved to EO 28 Splash till he was 3.5. He is now on regular milk and dealing with
constipation as well.

My questions for you guys are…

1) Can
milk allergies trigger apnea?

2) What
other symptoms of milk allergies besides blood in the stool? I still thank that my kids has milk allergies
eventhough they don’t have rashes or blood in their stool.

3) What
is the best way to see if they still have milk allergies?
