InactivePepcid Complete helped Caden sleep at night – Mylanta never did a thing for him. I still have it on hand but have not had to use it in a couple of months.

InactiveDenisa, I am waiting for Dr. Phillips to contact me about this. Did you email him or call him. How long did it take to get a response from him, I’m sure he’s a busy man
I really want to see when I can start giving Pepcid to help our nighttime sleep!Aby

InactiveDr. Phillips responded to my e-mail within the hour!! However I have not heard back from regarding the Pepcid Q, sent e-mail yesterday I think.
I decided to try the Pepcid tonight, hope it works. Zegrid dose not seem to be helping a lot
. I Will let you know how the night goes. I gave a little less than 1/2 tab to start.June 29, 2007 at 2:39 pm #38284Anonymous
InactiveWell, I gave the pepcid complete last night, it worked great!! I skipped his Zegrid dose and did the same thing this morning, much much better. Now, does he really need the Pepcid or just to be pulled off the meds? I don’t know, we will see how the next few days go with just giving Pepcid.

InactiveThat’s great! I really want to try Pepcid too for our nightime sleep. I still haven’t heard back from Dr. Phillips regarding giving a Pepcid to my baby, does anyone know when ( age / weight) I can try to give Peyton a dose? Now he’s nearly 8 weeks and 10 pounds.

InactiveHi
Peyton’s mom, can you let me know what Dr Phillips responds? My son is 2 months old and weighs 11 lbs. We are using Mylanta and still waiting for the Prevacid to kick in (he’s been on it about a week). I would love to try the Pepcid Complete because Mylanta doesn’t seem to be helping plus it’s causng him to poop alot. Thanks!June 30, 2007 at 3:21 pm #38322Anonymous
InactiveSure will! I’m STILL waiting for a response.

InactiveDenisa, good news about the Pepcid working. I would not stop the Zegerid though. Sometimes they need a PPI to heal damage the Pepcid/H2 blockers can’t and also PPIs may take a day or so to clear out of their systems so it may seem like they are doing ok but it may rebound.

InactiveI am very curious about the doctor’s reply as well, so please let us know as soon as you hear from him!
Thanks!

InactiveTiffany, Thanks for the advice…he does still need the PPI I discovered the hard way!!! Charlie’s reflux seems to be harder to control than my first sons so we are still trying to figure it out.

InactiveDenisa,
Caden’s reflux has been the most difficult to deal with out of all 3 boys. Every time I think he has outgrown it, he seems to have a flare-up. Ever since he had an ear infection about 3 weeks ago, he has been having episodes of reflux again with fussiness at night and night-waking. It’s so discouraging! I’m now wondering if I need to check into doing something for him again. He was doing so much better and now this…Good luck to you! -
