So I sent hubby out to the store for Conners Mylanta. And I absolutely cannot find it anywhere. I have checked wal-mart, and local grocery stores/pharmacies. All they seem to have is Mylanta Ultra or Max cherry. My doctor gave me the supreme last time, and said I could find it in stores….but to my dismay I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any other ideas of places that I can find it at?

look at the ingredients of what you’ve found- maybe the max cherry doesn’t have any aluminum? or google mylanta and call their customer service?

When I sent my husband out to get it a few months ago, he couldn’t find it anymore either (and he knew what he was looking for since we used it all the time with Owen). He was able to find the generic brand that had no alumninum and was cherry, but it seems that Mylanta may have changed how they market it?

yes, we recently had the same problem too. I think they changed the formula and are calling it something different now. Like Laura, I ended up getting Walgreen’s brand since it did not have alumunim but Seth would not take it because it was pink and thinner. Luckily, DH found some of the Mylanta Cherry Supreme at another drugstore that does not turn over stuff as fast.. He bought two and we are praying we won’t need it anymore once those run out!!

Thanks ladies! I guess I will have to drive around and find it. Why is the aluminum not good? Also what is the max amount I can give him at one time? Hubby and I were only giving it to him twice a day, we used it to flavor the Zantac, but since my pharmacy flavors the Zantac for me, how much can I give him on the side?

Try CVS or Rite-Aid if you have those in your town (who doesn’t LOL). I think I got mine at Rite-Aid.

We were told that you can’t overdose on mylanta. If you give too much, you end up with really loose stools and you can just cut back. At one point, we were doing 3-4 tablespoons a day.

DH tried CVS, Walgreens, and two local supermarkets before he found it at Pathmark (and that’s only because I’d remembered seeing it last time we were shopping there together). Keep looking, it’s out there!!

Worst case scenario, try http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=38111&catid=10473. While you’re at it, order some diapers or formula or something and you can get free shipping. 🙂
