InactiveDoes anyone know of a Dr. near San Francisco or heck, anywhere in California at this point.
I swear my GI doc knows less than my ped.
Any referrals out there?
Some of you have gone to see Dr. Putnam…how in the world do you get an appt. with a guy who has over 500 patients. And do you just pay out of pocket?

InactiveThanks, I already did a search and there was nothing in California.
Do you know how I can contact Eli’sMom? I want to ask her about Dr. Putnam.

InactiveHi there,
I just wanted to see what you are up against with the breastfeeding. I have bfed my refluxer since birth and it’s by far been the most difficult and BEST thing I have done with him. I had a lot of trials with breastfeeding, but he was never reluctant to eat…he was the opposite, a comfort feeder. But keep your chin up and ask as many questions as you can. Mine is also MSPI and I’ve been on different verstions of the elimination diet (meaning I eliminated all dairy, soy, reflux aggravating foods, etc. etc. from my diet altogether) for over a year. I’ve cut dairy and soy and several other things for the last 7 months. It really is possible if you want to do it nad you think it will help your situation to breastfeed. Welcome to the forum.

Inactiveps. We also switched docs nad it was a good decision. I live just south of LA, near Long Beach. BUt I think I’ve read posts where folks have mentioned docs in teh Santa Cruz area, not local to you, but closer. You can do a word search as well. I know another mom, AR’s mom, is her screen-name and although she doesn’t post much anymore, she is in more northern CA but central (it’s a small town and I don’t remember the name), but she might remember that doc in Santa Cruz. Write if you want me to contact her, I can email and try to jog her memory.
