We just switched my son from Zantac to “Omeprazole 10m/sodium bicarb” – this is right from the label. Here is where I am stuck. I was told to administer the medicine at least 30-60 minutes before he eats. He is 3 months old, and 30-60 minutes before a feeding he is sleeping. When he wakes he is usually ready to eat. I can’t imagine squiting 2 mls in him and trying to make him wait. Anyone out there have a suggestion or something that worked for them. BTW – that stuff tastes awful!
keep your son on the zantac, give it 4hrs seperate from the prilosec, for 2 weeks until the prilosec takes effect (well it is effective but it can take up to 2 weeks for the esophogus to heal enough htat you see a major difference)
