InactiveSorry for jumping in a little late here. How are
things going on Neocate? How about insurance coverage - any luck? I
actually work for Neocate, we have a reimbursement specialist on staff
that may be able to help you or give you some tips for coverage, feel
free to contact her at 1-800-Neocate. Where are you purchasing Neocate
from at this point? If you have any issues or further questions,
please feel free to contact us, we have Nutrition Specialist on staff
as well that can answer any product questions. HTH!January 25, 2010 at 4:14 pm #65646Anonymous
InactiveHi Rachel! We are now up to drinking 100% Neocate! It’s only been a few days though…so I’m anxious to see how she will respond to it. I hope it’s the answer for her! Insurance is still giving me the run around. I’m waiting to hear on the decision regarding our letter of medical necessity. I didn’t realize you had reimbursement specialists on staff! I will definitely have to look into calling. Right now we are ordering the Neocate through our pharmacy and paying out of pocket, but I know that’s not the cheapest route. I need to figure something out so I can get another case ordered…we’re down to our last two cans!

InactiveI’m glad you were able to get her to take it 100%, that’s great improvement! Try not to get discouraged and remember that it can take 2-3 weeks for the previous formula to get completely out of her system.
Sorry to hear about the insurance company, I know it can be difficult but keep trying. I also forgot to mention a couple of things the other day. First, there are several states that mandate Neocate coverage. I’m not sure what state you live in but you can check our website for an up-to-date listing of these states. Also, we do offer coupons from time to time for the formula and typically our prices are the lowest, so when you call the office ask the nutritionist about our “Club Neocate”. You can also join it through orderneocate.com. by being added to our database.
I really do want to try and help so let me know if you have any other questions! I hope Neocate, like you said, turns out to be the answer for her, but truly I just hope she finds something that makes her feel better.
