Hi everyone.
New to this forum and hopefully it will give much needed comfort and support.I gave birth to first child in February, so she’s about 7 and half weeks old.Last week she started crying and screaming awful when trying to burp and feed her. Ped just told us that it was an upset stomach, but then it started to get worse. She started spitting up more and burping her was just awful. She would arch her back and kick her legs violently. So Ped then said it was acid reflux and prescribed her Zantac twice a day.The prescription seem to work for the first couple of days; then this past weekend it seemed to start wearing off early than dosage was needed.I called the Ped today to ask what was the best option.I joined to get great instance into this problem so that I can comfort my child and stay sane.Any info would be greatly appreciated!April 15, 2013 at 2:36 pm #72046hellbenntKeymasterThere’s so much here to help your little one!

She’s a big baby…10lbs 9ozShe was born 9lbs 10oz and 23 in long. The nurses at the Ped. keep telling me that she’s eating too much for her age…I’m like “Look at her weight”I delivered 2.5 weeks “over” and I swear she came out a month old. lolShe was already trying to hold her head up and grab the bottle herself.April 15, 2013 at 3:43 pm #72051AnonymousInactiveUpdate***

April 19, 2013 at 12:07 pm #72096AnonymousInactiveI’m glad I’m not the only one that goes so far overdue. π My last one was 2 weeks overdue. I know I was right on my dates but she only weighed 7lb 1oz. She is still in the 5-10 percentile for her age. Healthy though so that’s what counts. π
I’m sorry your little one is suffering! π Sounds all too familiar though. π We found that digestive enzymes and probiotics made a huge difference for our children’s digestive problems!! Read here learn more.

April 25, 2013 at 6:52 pm #72150hellbenntKeymasterhow is everything?
April 30, 2013 at 5:10 pm #72172AnonymousInactiveEverything seems okay. Zantac is working to help her “watery” sounding bumps…so it seems that the reflux is under control. She still gets ill trying to pass gas. We just switched from gas drops to Tummy Calm. It seems to be helping but I’ll give it a few more days to see how well it works.
