KeymasterOk, dh & I are officially insane
!we’re going camping for the weekend, bringing my pregnant belly & jonah along, too
! It’s ‘car’ camping & we park w/ the RVs (we don’t have an RV), so there’s ‘real’ bathrooms w/ hot water for showers and electrical outlets so we can cook on a single burner hotplate…we have an air mattress (I’m gonna need help getting out of the tent, LOL
) and jonah will (we hope) sleep in the pac n’ play, so it’s a large, Target tent, not a ‘serious’ backpacking camping tent…Some of you ‘know’ me for a while here, but for those of you who are still reading this(
), dh & I enjoy live music, so the camping is directly related to a music festival
http://www.waneefestival.com/schedule.html – we’re going to see the Allman Brothes and other bands…I went when pregnant w/ Jonah and we brought Jonah last year, but pregnant AND w/ an almost 3yr old, well, it should prove to be interesting (& tiring!) to say the very least…
‘See’ you Monday!
~laura
SO, you guys are in charge, lol!

please give my welcome/intro link: https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=853&am p;am p;am p;am p;am p;PN=1&TPN=1
and here’s how to do a search

)I did one for you at the bottom of the page):to do a search: there’s the ‘search’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the screen
you put the key word/s you’re searching for
then you choose “Topic Subject” from the drop- down menu of “Search In”
then I like to choose “All Forums” from the drop- down menu of “Search Forum”
then I like to choose “Topic Start Date” from the drop- down menu of “Sort Results By” (this way I get all the posts from the past that might help me)

InactiveAwesome Laura! You know I’m a big fan of the jambands too – you guys are going to have a blast! We were thinking about taking Owen to the Gathering of the Vibes festival this year but we’re thinking we’ll wait until next year when he’s a little bit older. We love so many of the bands that you guys are going to see – I’m totally jealous! We did go see Bob Weir and Ratdog last week though and had 5th row seats so that was pretty cool (Owen stayed home for that one). Next week we’re going to NYC to see Mickey Hart and Billy Kreutzman in a small club w/o the boy too so of course we’re excited for that one too.
Anyway, have a blast! I’m totally jealous!!! How do you think Jonah will do with camping? Have you taken him before?

InactiveHave fun getting off that air mattress! I went camping at 7 months and it was an adventure getting off that air mattress every couple hours to crawl out of the tent and go pee

InactiveHave fun, Laura!!! LMBO at the image you create with the air mattress!!!

We are going to brave camping with both kids soon
Could be interesting…April 13, 2006 at 1:14 pm #6085Anonymous
InactiveYou always amaze me! I just don’t know how you do it, where do you find the engery? If I could only have at least 1/2 the amount of engery that you do! Have a great time!

InactiveLaura- Railroad Earth is a must see (if you haven’t already)! Let Jonah dance til he drops then he is sure to snooze in the tent. Have a fantastic time. Let us know how this goes. Maybe we will be brave enough to take both girls to a festival/camping this summer.

Keymasterwe’re back!
I’m tired! laundry is calling my name as I type, LOL
!the long car ride was long, lol, for jonah- we talked to him & pointed everything out- cars, trucks, cows, horses, you name it!
the weather was PERFECT and jonah liked sleeping in the tent! we did bring him last year, but he didn’t seem to remember. there were lots of other kids there & he had a blast in the shade, gathering pine cones, playing with daddy and other kids…
life was too exciting to nap, but he did sleep at night-we have earphones for him, so he actually was tired enough to crash & be put in the stroller w/ the earphones- 1rst night he lasted through gov’t mule and then got restless during the allmans so dh took him out & about further away from the music- 2nd night I got dh to wear him to sleep on his back
, in the kozy (dh did it to humour me, he’s such a good sport, but then once jonah was back there & conked out he was actually into the whole thing- I kept telling him he could then put jonah down but he carried him around for a bit more
)so it was really nice but tiring…
laura, I’ve always wanted to make it to Gathering of the Vibes & I love all the shows you go to! Personally, we like to enjoy the majority of the shows we go to without having Jonah with us, but this venue is just so great- I love northern florida & the oak trees dripping with spanish moss…it’s beautiful…(there was even a full moon this weekend, ahhh…)

You are one brave mama!!! LOL!! Glad you all survived it
!!! I would have never even entertained the IDEA of such a trip. But, really, it sounded like fun. Too bad it was 101 here today…guess no camping this season for our fam!!! We used to live in Austin & we all were much more outdoorsy (is that a word???), now we are in concrete paradise (did I mention it was over 100 today??? In April?!?!
)…not much ‘outdoorsy’ stuff here. Well, I digress…Glad you had a good time.

how am I feeling?
ok, I’ll vent, LOL!!
my back is killing me! it’s so hard to sleep! I feel huge (I’m not- the dr keeps reassuring me
!)! my hips ache and my pubic bone does too…oh yeah & my butt hurts, too
!on the positive side: I’m not swollen! the only place I’m gaining is in my preggo belly and my butt (yikes! but it’s only noticible to me, I think
) – not my face or legs or arms…another positive: I’m done with work at the end of may, whoohoooo!!!! and: Jonah is SO CUTE I must must brag
!!!!April 18, 2006 at 9:09 pm #6360Anonymous
InactiveOh yes… gotta love the pubic bone pain.
On the bright side, at least you’re almost done work. Not long now….April 19, 2006 at 6:39 am #6372Anonymous
InactiveWhen are you due Laura? I can’t remember!
Sorry you’re feeling so big and sore but sounds like you guys had fun away
April 19, 2006 at 4:49 pm #6402hellbennt
KeymasterI’m due on Jonah’s birthday of all things! july 17…
originally, on the little wheelie thing they use w/ the date of your last menstrual period, my date was july 25th, but then after measuring a sonogram early on ‘they’ then said the 17th…
so, I figure somewhere mid july, LOL
