Hi Anne.
Periactin is an antihistimine. All I can figure is that maybe it targets allergy issues in the digestive track and that’s why it helps so much. The side effects that we’ve noticed are hunger and sleepiness. We give it at night. He also drinks about 30 ounces of water a day. It startled me at first, but now, I just think it’s due to the periactin drying him out. The only downfall of that is how much I have to change his diaper
As hard as it was to stop the periactin, I just couldn’t even imagine stopping any of his reflux meds. That must’ve been a nightmare!
Henry is back to sleeping better and a lot happier during the day. Life isn’t too bad right now. I suppose this is as good as it’s going to get. Now we just have to get our dd straightened out. Oh, how I hate reflux!!
You must be a saint to have BF 24mths!! I’m on my 10th week and it’s been a challenge.
