I know I probably don’t find any solutions to my 9month old sleeping issue, but more like going on here to find support and vent.
Mailan has never been a good sleeper/napper. Her usual night time wakings are anywhere from 4-7 times a night, and naps are somewhere from 30mins-1hour twice a day. But for the last 2 weeks or so, she has raised the bar so high! I don’t know if this is separation anxiety or what, but wonder if anyone has any input.
For the last few weeks, she does not sleep, and I mean it. Her total hours of sleep in 24 hour period is around 6-7 hours with 5-7 wakings. THis include naps and night time. SHe would wake up every 10-15 minutes, standing up in her crib and look for me. WHen she sees me she stop crying, but then refuses to go back to sleep, unless I put her on my chest. But I can’t do this ALL the time because my body can’t handle her weight that long.
Has anyone gone through this and has any solution? I’ve tried to let her cry it out but now that she has a bad habit of putting her finger in her mouth when she cry, she end up puking EVERY time she cry! I’m just so exhausted..
THanks for listening

Hailey used to cry and then projectile vomit all over the room… I used to be amazed at the trajectory that it could take out of her mouth and nose. I’m sorry to say that I don’t have any big solution. Is she on enough prevacid, can you play around with the dose. I ended up bringing her into bed with me, which was not the best solution, but helped me get more sleep. I know exactly what you’re going through. i still remember how hard it was. All I can say is hugs and hang in there.

If you rule out food intolerances (very likely!) and seperation (pretty common at this age) then i would ask for the sleep study.
Hang in there!!!!!January 30, 2010 at 1:09 pm #65681AnonymousInactivethank you everyone for your responds. She finally settled for the last week or so. Still not great but livable! Her two bottom teeth also came out! I think this was also the main reason why she woke up so many times. But she threw me off because I gave her baby motrin and baby tylenol before bed but none of them work. Her body didn’t respond to either one of them. I also gave her some zantac befor e bed and also during the night, and this seemed to help. I guess she was going through teething and also her reflux was bad during teething. Thanks God it’s getting better.
Thank you all for your support!
