our sad family tonight

my step-father passed away this evening. i got to their house just shortily after he had passed—-i was hoping i could get there sooner. they were able to make him comfortable and pain free before he passed. we will be having the funeral on nov 18. he and my mother have been married for 35 years.

I lost my grandpa last month, too. As sad as I feel for myself I feel worse for his widow. She adored him. So, I can imagine how you feel for your mom.

i am so sorry for your lost. my friend just passed away 2 weeks ago and now his wife( my friend as well), is alone, but with God’s grace and by being surrounded by everyone who loves her she is doing well.

Christine, my mom passed away two years ago this week. I was lucky enough to get there before she passed away, but not while she was still coherent, so I truly empathize. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
