We thought we were on right track when dr. didnt flinch putting Noah on elecare and though prevacid dose is low we figured we’d give it a week.

Noah’s getting worse!!

feedings are worse

spitting up more

way more uncomfortable

I get the dr. (who did call me back)…

He’s emphatic that 7.5 once per day is more than enough.

I stated facts and wasnt emotional and he did agree to read the research BUT said any dr giving more is out of their mind to do that to an infant and good luck finding dr who would perscribe.

UGH!

so he wants to do a 24 hour probe rather than assume its getting worse. I dont disagree but my boy is suffering

find another doctor.
some have found a family doctor to be more receptive to reading research, etc.
some have also found they must take matters into their own hands, especially now that prevacid is OTC
(*disclaimer: I CANNOT TELL YOU TO DO THIS)

if you have any zantac, give this, too, making sure to space 4hrs from the prevacid

and noah went to a top children’s hospital in NY.

A big UGH. just 4 yrs ago they wouldnt even touch a ppi with Hannah go figure.

Might just do that.
