Inactiveim glad he slept through the night!

its really been helping Trace.
is he taking prevacid capusles during the day with applesauce?
oh the thing on the box…it just means not to give it with any other h2 blockers…because you would be taking too much h2 blocker that way.

InactiveCaden did better last night again!

He still woke up but not hundreds of times

I’m glad it’s working for some of us – it’s such a trial and error thing with reflux!

Therese,
I meant to mention that the new pic of Alana standing up is SO precious! What a cutie. She’ll be walking before you know it and into everything

Have a great day!
Please don’t wish that upon me
I have a hard time keeping up with the crawling….she can move quick for a “chubby’ crawler.Glad to hear some of you mummies are getting more sleep. I seem to get less as Alana gets older….damm teething

InactiveEmily,
Great news! I hope his sleep continues to improve.

Therese,
I hate teething too.
Why can’t teething be painless? April 26, 2007 at 7:20 am #31490Anonymous
InactiveThat’s great, Tiffany!!! What time did you give his last dose of prevacid, and when did you give the pepcid? Also how much pepcid and how much prevacid?

InactiveUpdate about night # 2 with the Pepcid: he did wake up a couple of hours after he went down and sat up and I thought, here we go again but he was only uncomfortable for about 30 seconds or so and then laid down (even though I could hear him refluxing) and went back to sleep. He didn’t thrash around, kick and roll all over the place like his usual episodes so I think it is really working!
Lori, I am giving the Prevacid (15 mg) about 4:30 PM and giving 1/2 a Pepcid Chewable about 9:00 PM (yes, Seth goes to bed late!). I saw on the MARCI kids website that PPIs and antacids should be spaced at least 4 hours apart.
Ironically the GI’s nurse left me a message this morning about rescheduling our May appt. so when I called her back and left her a message I asked about the Pepcid. I hope she says it is ok to use it and gives better guidelines on how much. I’ll let you know.

InactiveI spoke with the GI’s nurse about the Pepcid Complete. She said it was fine to give it to him but to be sure I did not give it with the Prevacid. She actually said to do the Prevacid in the morning and do the Pepcid Complete at bedtime. I did not get into the 4 hr. guidelines on the MARCI site but just told her that I was spacing them apart.
She said 1/2 a tablet would be the correct dose for him.
