Are there any other babies on this website who get ppi’s 3 x a day? My doctor is fighting me so bad on this and it is so frustrating. I was wondering if other parents are having hard time getting the doctors to do this and why?
My son gets 3 doses of Prevacid a day and does really well with it. If we miss one of the doses or are late with one we can really tell the difference.
I’m sorry your doctor won’t listen to you. That’s sure frustrating. Could you try another doctor?
My son is off meds now but he was on Prevacid three times per day. It was a battle to get his doctor to prescribe it, but the marci-kids information did eventually sway her. Have you tried sharing that information with your son’s doctor? Here’s the website if you don’t already have it http://www.marci-kids.com Many (maybe most) doctors are not aware of the current research that shows babies need higher doses than adults and they need three doses per day because their metabolism is so fast that they eliminate the drug from their system 3-4 times faster than adults.
