InactiveI was wondering if any of you ladies have had your child on Prevacid? I was wondering if you could tell me how long it was before you saw a difference? Could you please share with me your story and the medications that worked and which one’s that did not?
Thank you…..I like to hear about others because I learn that way and when I go to the doc, I am able to ask about a medication with confidence because of you ladies.

InactiveMy son was on Prevacid. Initially he was getting 7.5 mg per day. It was not enough. Then he was getting10mg, and upt to 15mg per day; still not enough. He was on 22.5 mg; still not enough. It wasn’t until he was on the dose recommended by http://www.marci-kids.com that he finally got relief. He was 16 lbs and put on 10 mg / 3 times daily. Finally he improved within a few days and then made a complete turn around by around day 10.

InactiveHello,
My son is on Prevacid, and it really made a difference. It took a couple of weeks to start working well though. Before Prevacid we tried Zantac and Reglan which worked for awhile, but the Prevacid really did wonders. Like Christine said, check out the http://www.marci-kids.com website to find the correct dosage for you baby. Good luck!September 11, 2006 at 5:35 pm #13369Anonymous
InactiveIt took us almost the full two weeks to see a difference. Good luck. I hope it works well for you.

InactiveAbby is on 7.5mg 2x’s per day but I don’t think it is enough. She is still crying during her feedings even after a switch to Neocate formula. I faxed all the Marci-Kids info and my emails with Dr. Phillips to her GI and pedi. but neither will increase her dose. I am now thinking of changing to Zegerid maybe I will have better luck with this and getting her on the right dose. Good Luck!

InactiveOk, so Rylie has been on Prevacid for about a week and a half……and I am not sure if it is my imagination, but she is actually eating more than what she use to eat. She still is not eating like my son, but then I do not think she ever will. Has anyone else experienced this? I am really happy that she is eating more than before.

InactiveYes, it sounds like she feels better. Myles’ eating definitely improved once the Prevacid kicked in. Great news!
I hope it continues.I love her name.

InactiveThank you!!! Actually my husband and I chose 2 names (Rylie and Vanessa) and then we let him chose the one he liked the best. Of course, he chose Rylie.
