So my daughter, Hailey, has been on Prevacid for a little over 3 weeks. After 1 week she started sleeping longer during the night and after 2 weeks longer during the day. I think she needs a higher dose though because when she is away she still arches her back and turns her head weird…

but I digress my question is about prevacid and gas. Hailey is on 15 mg solutab split in half and about a week after she started them she seemed to get really gassy and still is. This week I noticed about 15 min after taking the prevacid she gets really fussy and uncomfortable which lasts another 15 to 30 min. Is this the prevacid? She will be seeing a GI next week should we ask for a different med?

I would consider a different form of prevacid…
I would get prevacid capsules rx’d and then buy bufferbabies, well, this is exactly what I did, lol.

My boys couldn’t/can’t tolerate the solutabs so this is certainly possible for your dd.

I would probably either try Prevacid capsules w/ buffer babies OR capsules w/ pureed apples or pears.

OR Zegerid mixed w/ Mylanta or Tums Quik Paks
