Prevacid – 8 Week Limit?

My baby was put on Prevacid for 8-weeks and had very good success. She previously would refuse to eat and would cry and arch her back etc. On Prevacid (compounded liquid, unflavored, 14 day supply) she would eat very well. Now my pediatrictian has taken her off Prevacid, saying that there is an eight week limit for being on Prevacid. Since then she has gone downhill and has once again refused feedings. She is 5 months old.

Has anyones children been on Prevacid for longer than 8 weeks? Or what is the next step to take?

find another dr. is a ped? if so get to a ped GI.

is it a ped GI? then get another one?

My daughter was on prevacid for 16 months. Definitely more than 8 weeks!
