InactiveDoes anyone know if I can use the Prevacid OTC with the generic omeprazole Buffer Babies kit? I don’t want to do the Prevacid OTC w/ apple sauce because I’m afraid to add anything new into his little system right now, since it’s so sensitive. Any help would be appreciated!! We’re going to the doc next week, so I really don’t want to make any major changes before then.
Thanks!January 9, 2010 at 5:07 pm #65422Anonymous
InactiveNot sure…I would email David AND Dr. P. Let me know what they say!

InactiveI use the OTC Prevacid with the bufferbabies. where can I get the information about putting the prevacid in applesauce? It can be as early as when baby starts solids at 4 months?

InactiveHI All!
SOrry for taking so long to reply…i finally got my netbook & have tons of emails/threads etc to catch up on. THe only response that I got from Dr P & David Stock was to just use PRilosec w/ the kit i had (didn’t want to change meds right before visit) SO, i had also called the GI & they upped my little guy to 45mg/day (3x 15) until this coming Friday at least. Don’t want to jinx us, so I’m not going to make any comment on how he’s doing, but he’s just now waking up from a 1 HOUR nap…something that hasnt happened since he was a newborn. Anyway, we’ll see on Friday what they say, but he also has an ear/sinus infection, so I wouldnt really wan to change anything until that’s out of his system. Thanks for all the help and I’ll keep you all posted! Oh, he also took him off the Carafate b/c it didnt seem to be doing anything for him & he’d been on it since October… Now he’s waking up, gotta go!Denise
(I’m still getting used to the little keyboard on the netbook, so sorry for the typos, no time to go back & fix!) 🙂dfb052010-01-13 13:33:07

InactiveSo he’s on 45mg of the solutabs or the bb kit? I wasn’t sure I understood your reply correctly.
Regardless…I’m thrilled he’s feeling better!! I hope it’s not a fluke and it continues!Yay for longer naps!January 14, 2010 at 1:45 pm #65476Anonymous
InactiveRight now we’re doing 45mg solutabs/day. I’m not sure what the doc will want to do after tomorrow, but we’re using up the rx faster than we should, so i’m hoping the insurance will cover this high a dose! (I think Erin mentioned before that hers wouldn’t…) Keep your fingers crossed today’s nap is like yesterday’s!!
