Prevacid stopped wkg-teething or need to up doseag

DD was rxd Prev on 8/1 – 7wks ago. I saw an improvement after a wk & 1/2. I had a new baby.

Slowly, after about 4 wks her screaming & fussiness has returned. She is teething horribly & has so much drool all day & night.

She doesn’t sleep anymore either. I used to nurse her to sleep at 10 she woke at 3:30 & slept till 6, now I’m up evy 1 1/2-2 hrs.

She has gained a couple lbs could her meds need to go up? Shes 13 lbs & takes 1/2 of a 15 mg pill in the am & the other 1/2 at night. I nurse on demand & never know when her tummy is empty to give it on an empty one. She also empties slowly.

Shes 18 wks now & was dosed at 11 wks.

I’m a zombie any ideas? She was on Zantac & I stopped that but do give her Mylanta 2xs aday.

and, if you have zantac, I’d give that, too, in the meantime- just make sure to give it 4hrs seperate from the prevacid

the dose for zantac is 5-10mgs per kilo. to verify this (I am not a dr or pharmacist), ask your pharmacist to consult her/his ‘ipharmacist’ to tell you the most upp to date dosing

it should be for GERD 5-10mgs per kilo (there’s another dose for Duodenal and gastric ulcer- you’re looking for GERD and erosive esophagitis)
