Our daughter started Prevacid dissolving tablets about a month ago–we didn’t know it should have been taken 30 minutes prior to eating, plus often the “sand” would get caught in the bottle and I don’t think she got the full dosage at times.
Then we went to the liquid Prevacid a week ago, and also about five days ago I learned (via this site

) that I should be giving it to her prior to food, not during.
My question is: does the medicine build up in the system, thereby making a missed dose less of a problem, for example? Or do the feedings right before a dose sometimes cause more reflux than would feedings right after a dose?
I hope that question makes sense!
Thanks,
Jodi
