Prilosec and Gas

[Anonymous]

Yesterday we increased the Prilosec dosage from 2mg twice a day (4mg total) to 4mg twice a day (8mg total). It seems that the pain due to the refluxing is decreasing, but I have noticed she is experiencing increase pain due to gas build up. She’s crying different than when she refluxes and her farting has substantially increased.

Yesterday we started using the Mylicon drops from the bottle’s recommended 0.3ml dosage for an infant in the middle of her feeding, but it does not seem to be working. Does anyone know if you can give more than 0.3ml at a time?

Also, what are some of the other things that can be done to relieve gas. I read about gripe water and will give that a try.

I found this on youtube as a way to mannually pass gas, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-3k7rVN2Ms !!!!!!!!!

We have been doing it for 3-4 days now and when we do it she isn’t in pain due to the gas. We were unable to do it one afternoon and she cryed that evening, so I know this is helping! I’ve found that the best time to do it is right after she wakes up.
