InactiveHi 🙂 i’ve been browsing the internet looking for non-medicinal treatments for my 4 week old son’s colic/reflux. I’m pretty sure he has reflux, he’s my 4th child, my 2nd one had it too. The dr. wants him on zantac/prevacid but i’d like to try to control it more naturally, or at least find out if that is an option. I’ve read thru some posts on here about using them, but as my little man is really fussy I can’t keep digging thru them all. Here are my questions:
1. do they work for reflux? he does the gasping/choking thing. he’s been inconsolable these past few days with lots of painful sounding crying and arching his back when held…such a large change from my once happy easy-going little man.
2. what kinds/brands?
3. i’m breastfeeding, how do I administer them? Should I take them too as we are battling a mild case of thrush as well.
4. is he too young? i’d rather take my chances on probiotics than meds at this age though.
5. I currently have Solaray Acidophilous in my refrigerator, will that work?
thank you for your time and input. I truly appreciate it.
