You can get it at Wal-Mart, and it really cleared it up fast. It’s 16% zinc oxide, which is higher than Balmex, I believe.

When Cooper had a really bad rash I had to let him be open to air as much as possible which is difficult I know. Also we would use a blow dryer on cool when we were changing him to help dry his skin and I stopped using baby wipes and went to just wet paper towels for probably 2 months b/c of senstive skin. HTH.
November 28, 2007 at 5:32 pm #45874AnonymousInactiveWe used Lamisil and it worked like a charm.

to use tooMy boys got the worst diaper rashes at 12-24 months…sometimes it’s too much fruit, like strawberries or watermelon or even grapes…other than that, try & think about any changes in diet, like the introduction of almonds or something…November 28, 2007 at 11:05 pm #45893AnonymousInactiveTeething (especially molars & eye teeth) gave my boys a bad diaper rash sometimes. I hope you can find something that works! If it doesn’t go away after awhile, you might want to have it checked. My boys have had a yeast infection diaper rash that are hard to get rid of unless you get something that is for yeast. Just some ideas. Good luck!

November 29, 2007 at 12:10 pm #45904AnonymousInactiveI swear by the A&D ointment. Always worked the best for my boys. They rarely got diaper rashes, but any irritation with their skin, this works amazing.
November 29, 2007 at 2:39 pm #45912AnonymousInactiveI agree about the A&D!
January 3, 2008 at 6:49 pm #46900AnonymousInactiveThis post is late, but Triple Paste is the best that we have found! Our pediatrician recommended it and it really is better than some of the other store bought ones. You can buy it at Target or Babies R Us.

All the others we used and he would scream like crazy when we put it on. We of course, had to get him on some nystatin too for the infection.
