InactiveDid anyone else ever have a problem with them not backing their product? And lack of customer service?
They gave me a free intro kit to use with Nexium capsules (Caracream Max). I had to pay for those because they are not covered for me. This was after terrible colic gas on CCZ that they sent the free intro kit (I’d say…. 3 weeks ago??). However, the instructions I got were wrong. Dr Phillips over there eventually clarified that the caracream packet needed to be added immediately to the mixture and not to wait or it will clump (as happened to me, and no knife was separating it, no amount of waiting, nothing at all!). But the instructions said to wait 15 minutes. And I ended up losing both the kit and the 8 pills (at nearly $7 per pill).
I kept writing and writing. Never heard anything back. I am actually getting more upset by this as time goes on because I’d *like* to try buffer babies as calcium bicarbonate doesn’t work for our son and Prilosec at 45mg did nothing for reflux and one of them gave him eczema (he is MSPI). I emailed today and even though I have read Dr P say they will give the free intro kits if you ask, David said no, they do not. I thought MARCI and RS were affiliates, Dr P did get my CCM and CCZ intro kits to me.
I’m really put off. They don’t list any sort of guarantee so I guess ‘buyer beware’ but I really think they should have done something small for the lost pills at $56 themselves.
David is a great guy over there. Talked to him on the phone about shipping in case I do decide to get that urgent need for something. But I am still really put off and want to air this out everywhere to get some input.
The 45 minute screaming is unbearable but he is happier in 1 freekin day I can’t believe it. But if the local compound won’t do the correct solution and do it weekly for me I am at a loss. His reflux colic screaming lasted the same amount of time as this twice a day dosing then wait to eat screaming.

Please input!

InactiveI know that Colic Calm has a 100% money back guarantee. It’s an over the counter product, FDA regulated and homeopathic. Many users have been able to stop their child’s reflux medication because it works so well. You can check it out on their blog:

KeymasterI’m sorry about your ordeal.I haven’t heard anything negative really before…so what it is it you want?I would contact the office and tell david to tell dr p that you’re upset? As for Colic Calm:not sure of the ingredients but here’s this:Gripe water: https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3438
you might want to look at the ingredients of the colic calm and read the above link & decide for yourself

InactiveWe tried Colic Calm. It gave him hiccups every single time. lol. We ended up returning it because he’d end up screaming worse an hour later. I don’t know how that is really relevant to my post, it is not a buffer for PPI and nothing in it controls acid.
I just wanted the trial kit of BB due to the CCM mishap and the loss of pills. They gave me the free trial kits for the others so I didn’t see the problem? I emailed David myself, my fiance did also, and I left a phone message. Honestly, I don’t expect to hear back but I may very well just call the university tomorrow if I don’t hear anything back by late afternoon. I’ve been trying for a long while now! Dr P doesn’t respond to me, nor my fiance, nor a friend of mine, in regards to anything. Perhaps he has a phone number of sorts?
And we avoid gripe water, it is a gas and reflux creator. The ingredients make a nice mixture for relaxing the LES. Colic calm may not, but man did my boy get hiccups everytime lol.

InactiveI have personally never had an issue with Reflux Solutions. They have always been prompt, curteous, and extremely helpful with all of my questions. I have been in contact with them for over 4 years between my two girls. I am sorry you are having a difficult time. I do know they are out of the office on Fridays.

InactiveI have never gotten any response after multiple calls and emails. Same goes for my fiance contacting on my behalf (and man he hates that). I am aware they go on vacation tomorrow for a bit…. But I’ve been trying for quite a while now and there seems to be no excuse. I’m going to contact the university.
Making him wait is not as problematic as it was, and he is getting total relief from waiting just 30 mins, 30mins-1hr does not seem to matter. Got medicaid to cover the powder packs. So I don’t *need* it, it was convenience for him and I. But maybe considering CCMax made his MSPI flair (started getting eczema, went off and went away), perhaps BB was just a bad idea anyways after the rigid colic gas filled baby I had on CCZ.
I’m glad others had luck. I have not even gotten an “I’m sorry” response. I know my pedi’s office will recommend its use so I am going to tell him next appointment what happened so he can warn patients at least.
This is my testament to Nexium. My son was off his meds for 4 days due to an emergency and I was unable to administer his meds at all. Boy was he miserable, wanting to comfort eat all the time and just squirmy bunched in a ball unable to smile or talk or play anymore. 1 day back on he is smiling, talking, and happy again. I am not joking, the stuff is a miracle. And hopefully insurance co’s, including medicaid, just add it to the preferred to save people the PA hassle of a doctors office sending 10 page faxes to get it approved (we’d been on Zantac, Prevacid, Prilosec, and Zegerid so we had a firm case at least).

InactiveI am glad that Nexium has worked well for him! That’s great. Sometimes it’s difficult to find that right combination for each little one. It can take a lot of trial and error. Given your experience and your opinion of them, it would probably be best to discontinue with Reflux Solutions altogether since the Nexium is working so well as is.

InactiveI plan to stick with the Nexium for sure. I wanted it from day 1 cause dad was on it for barrett’s. Knew it was good stuff. Hard hard fight to get 40mg approved but my pedi did his own research into it and ended up going with it. He was ok with 36mg Zegerid and 45mg Prilosec though. I have to thank him 25544 times next visit.
