Inactivedo any of ya’lls babies do this? Brianna rolls all over the place in her crib at night…she hardly ever seems to wake up from this…and if she does, she usually just crawls to the top of her crib and gets a passy and falls back asleep,…could this have anything to do with reflux? I haven’t really ever though it could because she doesn’t seem in pain from it…even when she does wake up, she never screams…sometimes she just fusses until she finds the passy.

Inactiveyep shane does.. he is all over the place! probably is reflux related.. but i am not sure. i watched my neice sleep the other day and she kind of did the same thing, and she doesnt have relux. and shane doesnt wake up either from it and if he does.. he doesnt cry and gets himselp right back to sleep. so, i just turn my video monitor down and try and get some sleep
,and only get up if he cries..has she always done this?? or did it just start?

Inactiveno its not reflux related imo. i know many babies that roll around all night long and dont have reflux.

InactiveWe made the mistake of putting Colt’s crib in our room. Colt doesn’t know how to lay still and if he gets out from under his blankets he cries so I have to get up 15-20 times a night just to cover him back up. I really don’t think its reflux related I just know that I am so tired of being awake all night long.

InactiveI think some babies/kids – even adults just move around more than others when they sleep. I remember my little sister waking up upside down in her bed in the morning sometimes she moved around so much when she slept, and Parker’s done the same thing. He’s all over the bed when he sleeps. I doubt it’s reflux related unless she seems uncomfortable or something.

InactiveIts developmental, not reflux related, nearly all babies go through it
. Thankfully it is when they can hold their heads up so they don’t end up suffocating themselves!December 11, 2006 at 8:28 am #20010hellbennt

InactiveLiza slept that way. I used to joke that sleeping was an olympic event for her.
She was the best sleeper of my three but she was all over the bed all night long.December 11, 2006 at 10:55 am #20029Anonymous
InactiveOh good…that makes me feel better. Wouldn’t you know it, but after I posted this Brianna did wake up last night…she is so good, she never really cried, but couldn’t get comfortable…I ended up going in there and it ended up being that she had a diaper that weighed about 20 lbs!!!
I changed it and put her down, and she cried for about 1 sec, because I was leaving, and then back to sleep until morning!December 11, 2006 at 2:07 pm #20045Anonymous
InactiveKathleen,
About Colt and his covers….
I went through the same thing for a while with Eliana. She’d wake up and cry “cover up, cover up” because she wanted to be under the covers but couldn’t cover herself. I was exhausted and she only did a few times a night! I figured out a trick to keep her covered. Maybe it will work with Colt.
I bought a thin twin size quilt and folded it in 1/2 lengthwise. Then I tucked both sides under the crib mattress. Since the twin blanket is so big it’s tucked very deeply on both sides and stays put all night. I’d slide her under the covers when she went to bed at night. For a few weeks she’d still wake up and I’d slide her back under but eventually (probably less than a month) she learned how to wiggle her way back under the covers when she woke up uncovered.
I hope this or something else will help so you can get some sleep.

InactiveJust to chime in… when I’m not totally exhausted, like now of course, and am not overtired, I often find myself at the other end of the bed! My husband thinks it’s a hoot. I don’t even know I”m doing it half the time, but others, I just move to get more comfortable. Of course, now, as long as Ben isn’t crying, I sleep so hard, my muscles hurt from not moving when I wake up!

InactiveThat is funny you say that becuase my husband says I end up moving diagonal at night, and he is sqished into a corner….I am only 5 ft tall and my DH is 5’10″…so if you can imagine me sprawled across the bed and him tucked into the corner becuase of all the moving around I do…and I wonder where Brianna gets this from!
