Has anyone had their baby have any reactions to Prevacid?
September 18, 2012 at 1:57 am #70955AnonymousInactiveMy oldest boy took Prevacid for almost 3 years and I didn’t notice any side effects. But his reflux was never really under control so I might not have noticed.
Here is a couple of links to articles about side effects of Prevacid.

November 11, 2012 at 2:23 pm #71176AnonymousInactiveHi, I changed my diet to dairy/soy/gluten free, and he is taking some homeopathic meds for reflux. Its been a little over a month and he’s doing great so far! I hope he continues to do well. If he starts to regress then we’ll back at the doctors office to discuss putting him on some medication.
Thanks for asking.
November 11, 2012 at 3:39 pm #71177hellbenntKeymastercan you tell others how you knew your diet was working & how long it took you to see/know results? also can you share your homeopathic meds? the homeopathic practitioner you use? thanks!
November 11, 2012 at 3:55 pm #71178AnonymousInactiveMy son has silent reflux, which actually isn’t very silent, he just doesn’t actually spit up and out. After 5 days of being dairy and gluten free, I heard less reflux/choking episodes. After 10 days, I didn’t hear it all anymore. I cheated, had a creamy potato chedder soup. That night I could him gagging, coughing, choking on his feflux. Also he was “chewing” on what was coming up into his throat. So that was a good indication for me that the diet was helping him. I did not go to a homeopathic practicioner. I have always treated my older kids illnesses with homeopathic remedies and natural supplements, so I figured I would try for the baby as well. The chiropractor we see (Touch of Health in Vista California) suggested trying colic ease (its for adults and children for indegestion) http://www.colicease.com. So I bought that, and from my homeopathic book, it said I could give Carbo Veg 30X made by Hylands. So on the days that he seems gassy, irritable, sounds reflux-y, I give those to him and voila! He’s happy, relaxed and content. I even give him the colic ease when he has hiccups and it stops them immediately.
