There is so much on this forum that I’m overwhelmed (I just joined), so I thought I would start a new topic.
My little man learned to sit up a couple of weeks ago (he’ll be 6 months old Monday), but the reflux incidents are getting worse. I was told it would get better as his sat up more b/c it would help him keep stuff down, but he actually spits up MORE when he’s sitting. And the last couple of days he’s spit up excessively after eating.

Not when it increases in frequency and amount by a significant degree. That tells me something has changed. We got the doctor to finally adjust his meds – doubling the amount he takes in – and it has resolved itself.
I stand corrected. In general, spitting up in & of itself is usually ok if baby is happy and gaining weight – then it’s called a ‘laundry problem’ and baby is a ‘happy spitter.’
Sometimes the meds make a silent refluxer a spitting-refluxer bcse baby isn’t trying to swallow & fight down the burn.
However, I always say that YOU know your baby best & that YOU are your baby’s best advocate.
So, my friend, I stand corrected w/ my comments to your post above.
