Monday my LO has been switched from axid to prevacid but everytime I give her the recommended dose she spits up like 5 to 15 minutes after giving it to her! Is any of the medicine actually working or is it coming back up with the spit up? Should I call her ped to discuss what is happening?

PS. I give her the prevacid at least 45 minutes before her feeding and while feeding she spits up everytime she burps and after she eats and during feedings.

what form of prevacid? is it a ‘proper’ dose?

you can, and should, give the axid, too. it can take up to 14 days to see the results of the prevaicd

Well the ped. prescribed 5mg Daily of the Prevacid Solutab and I haven’t given axid since we switch because the ped never said continue giving it to her.
