Hey! MSPI is milk/soy protien intolerance. From your signature, I see you already know she has a milk allergy, so Neocate is a great formula for her. You don’t need to worry about MSPI reactions on it.

I would THINK that 30 mgs. should be enough for her. I am really surprised that the doc. put her on such a healthy dose at her age. That’s great!

so there’s 10mgs per ml in your liquid? & it’s being made w/ 16.8 percent sodium bicarbonate? (I got all of this from here: https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=7855&TPN=1)

I only ask bcse it’s unusual for it to be made correctly (ok I sound silly as I’ve said this before, but I’m in, well not ‘shock’ but something, LOL!)

I went to the link that describes in detail how it should be made, and the three main things I asked about (I didn’t give them the numbers, I asked what was in it, eg. How much sodium biocarbonate?) and the pharmacist answered all within the guidelines that the page describes—EXCEPT that they made it for 28 days’ worth. I have had a couple mothers say that their compounds worked for that long so I’m giving it a go, but I’m not going to mess with the compound anymore after this bottle. I’m going back to tabs.

I’m originally from Minneapolis and all I could think of for MSPI was “Minneapolis St. Paul International” (airport!)
