InactiveWell, it seems that my baby has gone and I now officiallly have a little toddler on my hands. Hailey for the most part is walking (I’d say about 70 percent of the time), though she is slow and kind of looks like Frankenstein. She is babbling non-stop and says quite a few words (dad-dy, mama, NO, ye-th (ie. yes), hi, uh (ie. up), go, and uh-oh). It’s really cute. She loves to wave HI and say hi to everyone. She has also recently learned some of the typical toddler tricks, my personal favourites being pushing all the buttons on the dvd player (this morning I came into the room and she was sitting in front of the TV with the DVD player open and she was eating the dvd I’d left her watching), making herself like Jello so you can’t pick her up, and screaming and crying when you take her away from something she wants. It’s quite funny. She is also into everything that she shouldn’t be, but thankfully she tips me off that she’s up to no good by saying “no no no” as she’s doing something bad, so if I follow the sound, I can usually find her up to some trouble. As for the eating and sleeping, she seems to have missed the in-utero memo that babies are supposed to do those things.
Just thought I’d share some recent pics of the kids (and me with my new SHORT hair!).

InactiveOMG…Lori; they are both so adorable!

That’s so funny with her saying “no,no,no” when she’s up to something.
I’m happy to hear she’s walking and talking. Great news!!

InactiveI LOVE the pictures and sounds like Hailey’s doing great (other than the
sleeping and eating issues of course). They are too cute and your hair looks
cool!

InactiveYou have the cutest girls Lori!

InactiveThanks everyone. Yes, Laura… time sure does fly. I feel like in many ways I’ve lost out on Hailey’s infancy being consumed by the reflux monster. I just opened her baby book a few days ago and it was totally empty!

InactiveI love the pics. The girls are adorable. I had to laugh about the “NO NO NO”, Seth does the same thing usually when he is throwing water out of the tub!

InactiveLori,
About the baby book, I know what you mean. I have huge gaps in Myles’ book because there were so many times when things were so bad that the last thing I was thinking about was taking pictures. It makes me feel a little sad,
but I did the best I could, just as you have.

InactiveThey are so cute! Thanks for sharing! Isaac’s baby book is kind of empty too! My mom says that is horrible b/c he is my only child. I blame the reflux too!

InactiveWell, I don’t even have Seth a baby book yet and I used to be an avid scrapbooker! Funny, the consultant whose house I used to go to for crops just e-mailed this week to make sure I was getting her messages since I have disappeared since I had Seth. I blame the reflux too and this is horrible, but I really can’t bear to go anymore and hear about other “perfect” babies!

InactiveYes, I know how you all feel. Hailey’s book is empty, because what could I possibly write… “At one month old, you screamed non-stop for 24 hours a day… at 6 months old, you still screamed non-stop at 24 hours a day… as for sleeping through the night, still waiting.” I definitely blame reflux. But I better get to it, because I did such a great job with Sarah’s that I don’t want Hailey to come back and shake her empty book at me one day. The only sections that are filled in are the ones I did before she was born, after we came home from the hospital, and the medicines section.

Tiffany, it’s also hard for me to hear about all the perfect babies, especially when you’re so far into this journey and it seems like everyone else’s babies have outgrown it long ago. But then I remind myself how people must feel with babies that have more serious problems, and I try to count my blessings that it’s not worse. How is Seth doing these days? Is he sleeping any better? Hugs.

InactiveOh boy, can I relate to the baby book! I have a whole bag of scrapbooking stuff for Emma and the happy serene stuff stopped after about 2 weeks. Here’s you with daddy in the hospital and that’s the last time he really held you until you were 2! UGH!
