hi there i’m new to the board and i am desperate!!!! looking for advice on tummy care max (i just ordered it tonight) and dosing. I’m so confused on the calculations. My daughter is 5 months and is 15 pounds. Any one have advice on what they did and if 9mg 3x a day sounds like a high dose? i’m so nervous about trying this but i dont know that i have another option. she is on zantac and can’t tolerate prevacid solutabs (blood in stool from lactose i think) and i had the prilosec compounded at a pharmacy but it sounds like that was a bad idea?! i’m desperate for advice and praying i can see a difference in 10-14 days after i get the tcm in the mail!

My son also had blood in his stools and that is SO scary! 🙁 Later I learned that this can often be caused from a lack of probiotics in the intestines. Probiotics are what coat, line, and protect the entire digestive tract. They can get low or depleted by taking antibiotics or too much acid in the system.
If your girl has a hard time digesting dairy it might be from a lack of enough digestive enzymes. These are the key factor in properly breaking down our food.
We found that a supplement that contains both probiotics and digestive enzymes in it helped our children tremendously!! The brand we use is called Digestive Health sold by Core Health Products. There are many other brands and companies that sell probiotics and enzymes but I like this product because it contains 13 different strains of probiotics in it and over 20 different types of enzymes along with some soothing herbs and prebiotics which are food for the probiotics. But I mostly like it because it has made such a difference for our children! 🙂
I am sorry that I can not give you any advice on tcm because although my boys were on Prevacid I never had even heard of the tummy care max until I found this reflux site and my children were no longer struggling with stomach problems.
I wish the best in finding help and answers!!!

December 1, 2012 at 9:32 am #71265AnonymousInactiveWe are on day 4 with tcm and prilosec. My daughter has been coughing and refluxing more lately. We are on the 9mg and we started 2x a day instead of 3. Dr Phillips said that was ok and to add another dose if we needed it. I’m hoping this works but I’m so nervous. My dd has a mild feeding aversion too and it’s hard to tell if she’s in pain or just doesn’t want the bottle bc the aversion. I’m praying we see a positive change after two weeks.

December 7, 2012 at 3:34 pm #71277AnonymousInactiveMy daughter seems to be doing better. We are on day 10. She has eaten better overall for the last few days but didn’t do great this morning. I’m guessing I will have a better idea in a few more days!
