will antibiotics make reflux worse?

i went to the lab last night and got a copy of the lab report of the culture they did on my face infection. it is definitely MRSA. i’m glad the ER doc started me on the meds to treat MRSA even though they didn’t know for sure which type of staph it was—–i was well on my way to being healed up by the time they knew for sure what it was.

i am taking 10 antibiotic pills a day and i am having a lot of trouble with reflux—-and i started myself on a PPI a week ago. i was just wondering if anyone knew if swallowing all these extra pills could be causing the reflux to be so troublesome.

I *think* so…try probiotics- they’re all the rave, lOL!

no, but they will help put the good flora & fauna back into your system- the antibiotics kill it all- the good & the bad…

I know they always seemed to make Ben’s reflux worse,… Also, I don’t have reflux myself, but while on an antibiotic last year for an ear infection, I had really bad heartburn.
