My now 3 month old daughter was put on Zantac at 7 weeks. It seems to help for a little while and then stops, so we increase the dose and again it helps for awhile befor e it stops. We have also been adding cereal to her evening bottles and she has recently started refusing these. Anyone have experience with Zantac and infants?
Please please read through & bookmark the following link, it addresses all of your questions; it’s a welcome/intro that I (& others!) provide to newcomers to the site– it is loong, so that’s why I say to bookmark it, as you’ll refer back to it as you head down this reflux journey…here it is:https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=853&am p;am p;am p;PN=1&TPN=1
everyone here is extremely supportive, resourceful and full of encouragement!
Zantac is very weight sensitive. So if your daughter gained any weight she would need an increase in her dosage. For proper dosage you can check out http://www.marci-kids.com I hope this helps.
marci-kids doesn’t have dosage about zantac. I am sorry but the dosage is 5 mg per kilogram on the low side and 10 mg per kilogram on the high side. To figure you daughters weight in kilograms just take her weight and devide it by 2.2 and that will give you the kilograms.
